Biography
Dr. Yong Shen is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences and Bioinformatics, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He earned his Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics and M.P.H. in Public Health Policy and Management from the University of Florida. He completed postdoctoral training in Human Genetics at Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Dr. Shen’s research centers on epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation and the development of next-generation genetic medicine technologies to tackle intractable human genetic diseases and aging-related disorders. He has published in high-impact journals including Nature Communications, Molecular Therapy, and PLOS Genetics.
