Tahira Fatima, Ph.D. is a Staff Fellow (researcher and CMC reviewer) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). Her work focuses on understanding host-pathogen interactions and developing metabolomic tools for detecting viruses in therapeutic cells and tissues. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan, and completed fellowships at Nottingham University, UK, and the University of Regensburg, Germany. Her research spans physiology, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and immunology, and she contributes to FDA's mission by researching and reviewing cell and gene therapy products.
